福島氏は原田現会長とは東大経済学部時代から先輩後輩の関係にあった。
創価学会にあっては、秋谷前会長、北条元会長と共に中枢中の中枢の位置にあった。いずれは、会長職を期待されていた位置にあった。
ところが、昭和５４年、福島源次郎氏は宗門問題の責任を取って副会長を辞任した。当時の会員にとっては、寝耳に水だったろう。
私は、この所謂第一次宗門問題が発生して詰め腹を切らされた時、　
「やはり仕方がなかったのだろうか？是非、捲土重来を期して欲しい」と願っていた。　
ところが、それから５年後に発行されたこの書を読んで、思わぬ　
「裏事情」があったことを知って慄然とさせられた。要するに、福島副会長は「嵌められた」のだ。　
池田創価学会側にして見れば、同書は「反逆退転者」の世迷い言となるのだろうが、氏の真剣な語り口に心を動かされない者はいないだろう。

桑原先生の古文の授業を駿台で受けました。
何を話しているのかわからないことが多かった（口をもぐもぐしている）のですが、
書かれている文章を読んで、改めて納得し、感動しました。
桑原師は伊藤師と並んで、駿台の宝です。永久欠番の栄誉を与えて、絶版にするべきではありませんでした。
復刊を強く望みます。

We　heard　many　news　regarding　death　penalty;　however,
A　few　of　us　know　the　reality　death　row　inmate　are　facing.
When　we　read　or　watched　the　news　involving　multiple　murder　cases　and　capturing　the　murder　suspect,　we　tended　to　be　alarmed　and　scared.　　　However,　we　are　likely　to　lose　the　interest　which　the　captured　suspect　and　the　survived　family　of　the　victim.　　We　need　to　keep　interested　in　the　case　to　make　sure.　The　justice　served　for　the　sake　of　the　victims　and　their　families.

I　found　the　book　enjoy　enoumous　reputation　among　educators　
in　US.　　The　more　I　heard　of　it,　the　more　my　disire　to　read
has　been　growing　growing.
However,　I　had　no　opportuniny　to　see　the　content.
I　just　cannot　wait　to　read　it.
